Add a Little Pop to Your Wardrobe with Tie-Dye

It's all about the pop! From electric blues to neon yellows, color is the hottest accessory you can add to your wardrobe this spring and summer. Go for a solid turquoise bag, or even a bright pink sandal to refresh and brighten your outfit. Step up your look by taking those bright colors, and mixing them with another hot trend this season, tie-dye.

Don't think, rubber bands and craft store dye, think cool, subtle waves of one or two colors. It is best to stick to the rule of less is more with this trend. Try some of these cute styles pictured here. My favorite has to be the Gypsy 05 maxi dress. You will want to live in it this summer! So, what are you waiting for? Go get your groove on.

Caged Sandals

Caged sandals were all the rage on the runway this spring and summer season. These strappy, eye catching, shoes enrobe your feet, giving it a "caged" in look. They can be found with a stiletto heel, a flat sole, all ranges of colors and endless styles. There is something for everybody, so don't be afraid to try out this trend.

The caged sandal is very versatile. I think both the stiletto heeled sandal, and the flatter soled sandal look great with a mini or even a flowy summer dress. You can also do either style with skinny jeans, or shorts.

Here are a couple examples of caged sandals that I like, and the places where you can purchase
them. Make sure to check out all of the other caged and gladiator sandals on these sites.

Slip Into Your Boyfriend's ( or husband's) Tee

Lucky for all of us moms out there, one of the biggest fashion trends for this spring and summer season is the over sized Boyfriend Tee. Its everyday look is cool, casual, ultra bohemian and can be worn out to the park or to dinner. Because of its baggy nature, proportion is key when wearing a Boyfriend Tee. Bigger on top equals smaller on the bottom. Either pair it with some skinny jeans, or for the more daring, a pair of shorts that peek out from under the tee. This style is very popular with the celebrities, and although these they can become pretty pricey, you don't have to spend that kind of money to get this look.

One of the companies I love is Alternative Apparel. Not only do they have the Boyfriend Tee in almost every color, but they also make an easy, super soft dress version that would look great belted or over your bathing suit at the beach. Their prices start at $24.For an even less expensive option check out American Apparel whose Boyfriend Tee is priced at $18.

To finish off the ultimate, "I didn't even try to look good this morning," look, throw on some funky jewelry, your favorite caged sandals(don't worry we will get to those next week) and chase those kids out the door.
Happy Dressing!
