Goodbye Winter...Hello Bare Legs!

Ok moms, the warm weather is fast approaching, which means it's time to get that skin, summer wardrobe ready. The winter has been harsh, and left us feeling dull and bland, but there is hope on the horizon, for our legs anyway, with this homemade scrub. It's so simple, go ahead and try it tonight. All you need is your everyday, granulated sugar, and baby oil.

Just mix equal parts of the sugar and baby oil in a container or bowl. I usually make mine in a tupperware so I can then click on the lid and keep it in the shower. It is important to mix it up with your finger before every uses because it naturally will separate. It is great to use all over your body. The sugar scrubs away all of that dead skin, ewwww, and the baby oil smooths and hydrates.

I have been using this "scrub," for many years now, and I promise you, the difference can be felt instantly. Your legs and body will feel as smooth as silk, and it stands up to any expensive exfoliate on the market.

For extra soft skin, after you get out of the shower, squirt some baby oil into your hand along with your favorite moisturizer and apply all over.

You will feel refreshed and vibrant. It's a simple way to to pamper yourself. You deserve it!

The Miracle Drug for Your Hair, and Anything Else You Can Rub It On: Argan Oil

Argan oil is the beauty industries new miracle drug. This organic, all natural oil is made from the nuts of the argan tree, that grows exclusively in a remote part of Morocco. The women of this rural land, literally extract the oil from the nut by hand, which is high in vitamin E and essential fatty acids. It is said to help all sorts of skin conditions such as, dry skin, acne, wrinkles, and is also amazing for you hair, nails and even our babies and children.

I have to tell you that I am seriously hooked on this stuff. I am talking so obsessed that I would choose a vile of argan oil as my one thing to bring to a deserted island.

Like many moms, right after I had my daughter, my locks began to fall out. Every lost strand in the shower was paired with a panic attack that I was going bald! My hair eventually decided to stop falling out, but left me with fuzzy, wispy, fly aways, annoyingly sticking up all over my head. I tried tons of products from wax to creams, nothing worked....until argon oil.

Make sure to only use a small amount and rub it into your wet hair from ends to roots. Your hair will feel like pure silk. This oil tames even the most out of control hair. Mine has never felt like this before! I seriously can not stop touching it, truly amazing.

Because argan trees are only found in Morocco, the oil can be pretty pricy. I am all for saving money, but here is a product that is worth the splurge.

Some brands to check out are:

Josie Maran $ 14-$48 Sephora

Argan Oil $10-$42 Argan Oil Also check out this official website for argan oil to learn more about its origin and help support the women who make it.

Keep Those Sleepy Eyes Bright

If any of you are like me, a product junkie, then you are guilty of spending, rather wasting, tons of money on makeup. I am here to help you save your time and money by doing all of the work for you.

As mother's, it is a rarity to get a full nights sleep, right? Even after your baby ( it took both of mine seven months) decides that they are done torturing you by waking up every hour, you are still tossing and turning in anticipation of their screams. I mean really, sleep becomes a waste of time, doesn't it? So, when your alarm (or rather in my case, my four year old waking up the baby and then jumping on me to get up to get her) goes off, and putting on makeup is the farthest thing from your mind, don't fret. All you need is little mascara and lip gloss to get you through the day.

I swear, mascara, is magic. I believe it works miracles and brightens your whole face. It is an absolute necessity and let me tell you I have tried them all, from Dior Show priced at $24 to Yves Saint Laurent priced at $30. The good news is that the one I love and always go back to is inexpensive, and can be found at any local drugstore.

It is Define-A-Lash by Mabelline in Black. I find this product makes my lashes super
long and clump free. It gives me that wide eyed look that I need after a restless night. The more pricy mascarras that I have tried do not even compare. It is priced at $8.29, a small price to pay for a fake night's sleep.

Let us know what you think about it.

Happy Shopping!
